Glamour

Do we need another opinon on the current state of Hollywood? Probably not, but that is not stopping me. I like to think about Hollywood, read about Hollywood and live in Hollywood. Hollywood also makes me mad most of the time!   

Yes, I managed the Hollywood actor's bookshop Samuel French, I have worked in a very powerful agents office and no I'm not an actress and never wanted to be.

"Joyce, Faye Dunaway is here and she is asking for help with plays!!" I would go to New York once a year and see Broadway shows that would be just right for actors to perform or study. I could handle Ms. Dunaway, in fact I liked her very much.

What glamour is left in Hollywood? We just had the Wicked premiere, Jennifer Lopez arrived late and had the carpet all to herself. That's a Hollywood move, but I'll take it, there is not much glamour around these days.

Angelina Jolie starring in Maria as Maria Callas on Netflix, she is back giving interviews, I'll take it, not much else going on.

John Krasinsky was just named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2024. Mmmm Okay, oh Brando's of the world, where are you?

On Friday, November 15  Hollywood Forever Cemetary has their Annual Memorial Service for Tyrone Power. It could be glamorous!

P.S. What happened to LEE starring Kate Winslet, was it that bad?
